A reminder,

the constant coming and going

is the nature of all things

a perpetual ebbing and flowing

simply observing the ocean’s indifference

to its own waves

is a lesson in the law of detachment

a practice of patience and trust

that after this one passes

there will be another

and if your heart breaks when each wave does

you must love to suffer

or you have yet to realize

you hole the potential energy

for endless giving and receiving

do not fear the cease of momentum

the effort to contain

and retain

will only refrain

the flow

so,

let it go

and know

you are the ocean
